    Desert Fence

Rebecca Maria Ballestra, February 13, 2017

Barda del Desierto has selected 10 international artists from among two hundred nominations (Carmen Vicente - Peru; Celeste Rojas Mugica - Chile, Federico Gloriani - Argentina; Leo Ayres - Brazil; Natalí Tubenchlak - Brazil; Nina Bacun - Croatia, Rodrigo Alcon Quintanilha - Argentina, Brasil , Mauro Rosas y Fabián Urban - Argentina, Maria Rebecca Ballestra - Italy) who will spend the whole month of January 2017 in Contralmirante Cordero, in Patagonia. On this occasion, Maria Rebecca Ballestra will carry out a project on "identity and territory" through a relational project that involves both the local community and the indigenous Mapuche community. In fact, Barda del Desierto has the aim of spreading the artistic practice as an element of aggregation and promoting the micro-region of the Alto Valle Oeste through art, as well as of course favoring the decentralization of culture from large urban centers, creating an artistic pole out of places. conventional.www.bardadeldesierto.org
